Thank you to the House of Delegates at the @AmerMedicalAssn for passing new AMA policy today supporting modernization of the Medicare #Hospice Benefit. Thank you to the @AAHPM delegation (@ChadDKollas @pallcaredocDO @analeech3@kpedmonds) for introducing the resolutions. #AMAmtg
And that's a wrap! Our team just finished recording our presentation regarding our #TxConsortium & how/why you should build one! Please check it out during the @AAHPM Assembly Encore! It has been an honor to be part of this consortium & work with such wonderful people! #hapc22

Almost every week I meet a patient moving from hospital to nursing home w/ plans to pursue low benefit rehab
Not because of personal choice
Because Medicare will cover their nursing home expenses if they do rehab but not if they elect hospice
Can we please do better?
TLDR:
- #Aducanumab is too expensive ($56,000/yr)
- fear of ALZ >>> cost = emphasize healthcare disparities
- resources of the system will get overwhelmed
- trust in the FDA is at stake
- disapproval would have been the correct decision
