Last week in Tokyo 🌅
We joined NERO Chain for the NERO × ANAM145 Tokyo Morning Forum.
We talked about RWA, stablecoins, institutional digital asset infrastructure, and the security that ties it all together.
Co-Founder Junsik Sim shared how ANAM145 builds on its cyber-defense experience to create trusted digital infrastructure, and NERO walked us through secure on-chain finance.

A day shared with Korea University and the University of Tokyo.

[4/4] The day closed with some genuinely deep research.
Prof. Kensuke Ito (University of Tokyo) — the first SoK survey bridging cryptoeconomics and tokenomics. Not new on their own, but combined, a new field emerges.
Prof. Kyohei Shibano (University of Tokyo) — "Can crypto become money?", explored through multi-agent simulation. When 20% accept and 50% recognize it, it gains monetary function.
Tomonori Kanno (VLUE Inc.) — starting from "Is fiat really stable?", a proposal for a stablecoin more stable than fiat, built on a custom index called MLV.
New perspectives, all around.

[3/4] @Nerochain_io — Why is Web3 still so hard?
Seed phrases. Unpredictable gas fees. Lose your key, lose everything. NERO Chain builds account abstraction natively into the protocol, removing those barriers.

[4/4] SignTrail — Analysis of North Korean Hacking Incidents
They never broke the cryptography — and never stole the private key. They just created a normal-looking signing request through legitimate systems.
The target has moved from the key to the signing path. North Korea-linked groups (Lazarus) target developers and operators through social engineering, then abuse the normal signing process from inside a trusted-looking environment.
CoinsPaid: $37M. Bybit: $1.5B — every credential and API call was valid.
SignTrail asks about origin.
It treats runtime provenance as a mandatory input to signing authorization, enforced right before signing, fail-closed. If anything doesn't match, the signer doesn't run.

[3/4] ControlRail — Policy-Controlled Wallet
A valid signature only proves "someone authorized this" — not that a proper governance process was followed.
UNDP Liberia's participant allowances were paid on paper and in cash: delays, ghost beneficiaries, forgery risk.
ControlRail moves policy enforcement down to the blockchain layer. On an ERC-4337 account, a transaction executes only when all three parties — owner, ANAM145, and UNDP — have signed.
Policy bypass becomes cryptographically impossible, and who approved is verifiable from on-chain data alone.

Anam145 flew out of Gimpo this morning for the Blockchain Workshop with the University of Tokyo and Korea University.
We'll be introducing Anam145 and presenting three of the problems we're working on — decentralized identity, policy-controlled wallets, and on-chain security.
