Last May, the Office of DEI at Yale SoM offered a one-day DEI Symposium to Puerto Rican medical students with the aim to expand health equity content in medical education. Today I am presenting our results at @AmerMedicalAssn virtual 2022 Research Challenge!

We focused on addressing instances of racism, discrimination, and microagressions in medical eduaction & assessing the impact of the DEI symposium. Students reported improved knowledge & confidence in identifying, interrupting & supporting colleagues during such instances. 2/3 🪡
