@arealmofwonder 'Ilish guri' - a term used to describe a gentle rain that happens at a particular time in the monsoons in Bengal. The word 'Ilish' refers to fish Tenualosa Ilisha which otherwise wins quite deep, but comes up almost to the surface, exactly during this time. Guri refers to rain.
Every year when the world commemorates the courage of Tank Man in China, I’m reminded of 14-year-old Tank Boy Fares Odeh, may he rest in power.
His bravery in the face of Israel/i tanks barging into Gaza deeply inspired my generation. It ripped the fear out of our hearts. (1/8)
It's fascinating that rich people will hire poor people to cook their food, clean their homes, makes their beds, look after their children, drive their cars, wash and fold their clothes...
But won't use the same lift as them.

NGT has ruled in our favour! NHAI has to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) before touching any of the Banyans ❤️
This is a pathbreaking and landmark judgment as no precedent of an EIA for roadside trees outside forests exists .
94 bodies in Manipur lying unclaimed. Why? Families are too scared to travel, think they might be killed en route.
Heartbreaking how Manipur continues to evade our public attention.

Many people in Gaza are now drinking contaminated water unfit for human consumption to survive (if they even get any).
Israel has completely cut off drinking water as well as electricity & fuel supplies necessary to run water treatment facilities or pump water to homes!
Essentially what Rajiv Mehrotra is saying here about PARI is that anyone who questions the govt., airs their grievances is being divisive to national fabric. If this is not an undeclared emergency, then what is?
“encouraging their youth to tell stories of dissent and grievances against nation state and against other Indians. So it is a very divisive kind of thing done in the name of art and culture ‘sort of thing’. It’s a very well guised way of entering India, creating huge database.”
Hindutva ideologue Rajiv Malhotra explains why People’s Archive of Rural India (PARI) should be the next target, after Newsclick – a perfect clue to what this harassment is all about.
Heard 108 homes were raided by special cell yesterday. There a lot of others like Sohail Hashmi , Dileep Simeon , Vijay Pratap who have no connection with News Click who were also raided and phones , laptops, harddisk , flash drives taken away.
This is a phishing expedition to cook some story. News click has done excellent stories about what is happening in India and the world . Abhisar , Bhasha , Urmilesh and many others - we watch them regularly.
Citizens must stand up and speak up against this draconian attack on freedom of speech, on press freedom and against lies which are being propagated by sarkari media channels .
According to @dhruv_rathee the following donations were given to PM cares by Chinese companies
Chinese Companies donations to PMCARES Fund
Xiaomi: ₹10 Crore
Huawei: ₹7 Crore
One Plus: ₹1 Crore
Oppo: ₹1 Crore
TikTok: ₹30 Crore
How come this is not anti national ? How come Modi sitting on a swing with chinese PM is not problematic ? How come 100% FDI in defense is not undermining nations sovereignty?
This government wants everyone to keep shut .

“The forests of the Himalaya are the Guardians of the Northern Plains, which, in their turn, are the Granary of India. Surely such guardians deserve the utmost care and attention that the Government can give them."
