A common perk from immigrants living in blr they're astonished by average 30/40 homes. They're suprised that ppl in this city paint their homes and spend good money on architecture which btw is a luxury in their hometown of bihar where having plastered homes are luxury

@NR_Sanghi The vedas do not restrict Upanayana for women. Ancient India practiced it - as a right of passage for girls before their vedic education could begin. The exclusion of women is a relatively modern construct.

Those who ask for Sambar for Idli and Vade at Brahmin’s Coffee Bar, Taaza Thindi, or Bangalore Cafe should be told to go somewhere else — and never come back.

Idli with Sambar, or Dose with Sambar, is sacrilege for authentic Kannada-style Idli and Dose. They’re eaten only with chutney — nothing else.

Sambar with Idli and Dose is an Udupi hotel invention of the last century — first served as a way to use up the previous day’s leftover Sambar, and later as a thin, watery Sambar made specially to cut the cost of chutney.

Only true connoisseurs know how to eat them the right way. Don’t ask for Sambar and make a fool of yourself.

Truth to tell, I have been a little surprised at India’s reaction and Pakistan’s overreaction to Sergio Gor’s comments on Kashmir.

Having made this move recently, I see it differently - So much depends on what phase of life you're in and what you want.

1. Work-life balance felt worlds apart. I tried and couldn't (maybe just my story).
2. Everyday public goods -green spaces, room to breathe - also felt very different, and mattered more than I expected.
3. Diversity - matters more than you'd think. Impossible for solve for in India.

India is rich with opportunity. Money, easy paid healthcare, career growth - maybe even better there than anywhere. But move - for the right reasons and be sure what you're optimizing for.

2 weeks in Bangalore have annihilated my health. Every single event, every single conversation, was miles ahead of what I have in Delhi/ Ggn.

The product, tech, growth, marketing, revenue, business development understanding / lingo/ experience/ knowledge of every founder/ builder / PM/ SDE was miles ahead of even the top ten 10% of my founder catchment in Delhi, but any commute whatsoever, even the 15 mins within Koramangla to Koramangla or 20 mins of Kora to HSR has killed me.

As good as RMZ Ecoworld area was, all my fav brands - Dori/ Brik Oven, good reliable coffee, food, shopping - getting in there from anywhere in BLR to out of there annihilated me.

1) why do we have such poor offering of infrastructure to the highest concentration of talent in the country

Also man the pull effect of talent - that everyone in BLR is choosing to suffer through BLR simply to be close to everyone else in BLR

2) what hacks people, what do you do to survive/ thrive/ meet founders/ portcos / customers - what’s the secret.

I did only Indiranagar - Koramangala - HSR - APR circuit and I am at the worst of my health and fatigue of entire 2026.

Jaipur - Delhi - Dehradun or Delhi - SF corridor doesn’t kill me as much as Bangalore corridors killed me.

And I really need to be and want to be around the Bangalore talent. What supplements are yall taking ?

1. I don't think there should be any stigma to AI generated content - I for one, welcome it.
2. I do think some sort of a paid validation API is meaningful to ensure there is no misuse. For example - Useful to know if a receipt has been fudged by an employee before submission.

Look at 23-year-old judoka Asmita Dey, who is now the first Indian to win Commonwealth Games gold in the women’s 48kg category.

7 months ago, she lost her father to a brain stroke. A bicycle mechanic who earned barely ₹300 a day, he raised his family in a mud house in a small village in Tripura. When a knee injury threatened Asmita’s career, he found the money to take her to Delhi for treatment.

Even as the family mourned, Asmita’s mother urged her daughter to return to training, believing that abandoning the dream would betray everything her father had sacrificed for.

She now stands on top of the Commonwealth Games podium with a gold medal around her neck.
