#WATCH | PM Modi speaks with Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar through a video call and praises his courage, presence of mind and composure in how he saved many lives
The PM says to Captain Smit, "The whole country is praying for you. Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is being done for you and your health. Your courage, presence of mind and composure saved many lives. The country can proudly say that Indians are not those who take lives, but those who are willing to risk their lives to save others."
Had this man not found the courage to fight back after being repeatedly attacked with an axe capable of cutting through metal—while bleeding profusely—and had the presence mind to trigger the hijack/emergency code, initiate the emergency response and open the cockpit door to allow passengers to assist him, the aircraft’s subsequent dive could have had catastrophic consequences.
Had that aircraft not been recovered, the geopolitical consequences for the Middle East could have been profound and potentially irreversible.
Sometimes history turns on the courage, resilience and presence of mind of one person.
Yes. One Indian man.
1. Ranveer Singh went to YRF for an action film but they declined
2. Bro went to Farah Akhtar for Don 2, the movie got delayed and the investor pulled out of the project
3. Gave multiple flops after Covid, people laughed at him
4. Signed Dhurandhar, Jio Production got angry because of the movie length and denied further funding
5. Aditya Dhar and Ranveer had to put their own money to complete the shooting
6. Dhurandhar got banned in many Gulf countries and was released mainly in Hindi
7. Became an all-time blockbuster film of Indian cinema
8. Destroyed the legacy of the YRF spy universe
9. Farhan Akhtar is running behind to start the shooting of Don 2 but Ranveer denied
Best example: Kismat ki ek khoobsurat baat hai, badaldi zaruri hai
As actors, we learn endlessly from performers who live truthfully on screen. Sreenivasan sir’s legacy, across writing, direction and performance, stands as a lasting contribution to cinema that reached far beyond the screen and touched countless lives. Deep respects sir. May you rest in peace.

FMGE Vs NEETPG debate 👇🏻
No disrespect to FMGs, but screenshot below is sheer arrogance.
How can you compare a screening exam with a selection exam?
How can you compare the medical teaching curriculum of countries like China, Russia, Ukraine, and the Philippines with that of India?
How can you compare medical institutes with a daily footfall of just 50 patients to Indian institutes that see over 1000 patients a day?
How can you compare an exam filled mostly with one liners to one that is dominated by clinical questions?
Preparing for FMGE familiarizes you with the Indian pattern and help form a base for NEET PG preparation.
You prepare for FMGE for 2–3 years, crack it, and then attempt NEET PG ,just imagine coming back from a random country and giving NEET PG here in India. Trust me, the NEET PG selection rate would be less than 0.0001% (considering that even today, FMGE candidates make up just about 0.2% of total NEET PG selections).
Let’s just stop pretending FMGE is difficult than NEETPG ,it’s not !!!
It’s just that Indian institutes, curriculum are much better than the above countries . Indian students are trained and taught well here .

Dry cough caused by ACE inhibitors (enalapril, lisinopril, ramipril etc) is a common side effect known to all doctors. You don't need "top doctors" or Chat GPT to diagnose this. Although irritating, the cough is not life-threatening. #MedTwitter
This wasn’t just a mess.
It was where we lived, laughed, and grew together.
Now it’s a place we remember with tears.
Some memories… came at too high a cost.
Om Shanti 🙏

Nothing but respect for @marrow_med, tbh I wasn't even hopeful, neither did I care much as the extension given was pretty cheap. OG app, OG support team. Nothing but the best 🔥🔥
🚨BREAKING: Resident doctors of Goa have given a 48 hour ultimatum to the Health Minister, otherwise GARD will go on indefinite strike!
Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane tried to give a political masterclass at Goa Medical College (GMC) yesterday following the 2 Rs toolkit for cheap political publicity:
1. March into a casualty ward with your camera crew.
2. Bark orders at the doctor on call.
3. Declare yourself the people’s messiah.
But he forgot that doctors have had enough of this political hooliganism!
Resident doctors of Goa have now given a 48 hour ultimatum to the Health Minister, otherwise the poor people of his state will have to suffer if GARD goes on strike!
🚨 For those unaware, here’s what has happened in the last 24 hours:
A doctor at Goa Medical College Casualty has become a scapegoat, all thanks to Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. In a shocking viral video likely spearheaded by his PR Team, Rane stormed into the hospital camera crew in tow and publicly humiliated and suspended the doctor, simply for following established medical protocol by refusing a routine Vitamin B12 injection in casualty.
To gain cheap publicity, the minister arrogantly shouted at the doctor:
✅“Put your hands down!”
✅“Lower your mask!” (despite ongoing COVID threats)
✅“I’ll suspend you for two years!”
Here’s the reality: Vitamin B12 injections aren’t emergencies. Casualties are meant for urgent, life-threatening cases, not political video-ops.
The moment that video hit social media and gained public criticism instead of applause, Rane’s PR team aka “political chappris started damage control.
A carefully vetted, hypocritical apology followed, pretending concern and empathy. This isn’t compassion. It’s political hooliganism. Such stunts steadily erode public trust in doctors. It’s not just wrong, it’s dangerous and we cannot take this lightly.
The Goa Association of Resident Doctors (GARD) has issued a powerful 48-hour ultimatum demanding:
✅ Immediate revocation of the suspension with fair inquiry.
✅ Public apology by Minister Rane.
✅ Ban on filming inside emergency patient-care areas.
✅ End of VIP culture & political bullying in hospitals.
If demands aren’t met: GARD goes on indefinite strike.
Rane’s actions are calculated abuses of power. Ministers must remember they’re elected to serve, not intimidate.
Hooliganism belongs on the streets, not in hospitals. If Rane has any decency left, he must immediately resign or issue an unconditional apology.
We must stand together as doctors, patients and citizens against this dangerous political circus destroying country’s healthcare system and show these miscreants the place where they actually belong!
@Mohanlal@Rejaputhra_VM@talk2tharun@JxBe Sadly not in our screens.. @Rejaputhra_VM your team refused to permit us despite screening it in others from Saturday.. and we are flooded with calls asking for shows of your film!
Gold may last generations. But we don’t.
That five day vacation? It turns into stories, smiles, and moments that lights up your soul for a lifetime.
The phone might be worth ₹8K now, but that late night call to your son, daughter, or mother… that photo you clicked by the ocean… that memory? Priceless.
You can buy what appreciates in value, or you can invest in what makes you feel alive.
