@svembu@3011_ajit You seem to be undermining second order effects. Many people might have voted TVK out of frustration never believing it will actually be the single largest party.
Once the people know how the rest have voted, their perceptions will change.
@thestrongdoc Great exercise but far from simple. Controlled eccentric is where the payoff and challenge lies. Just touch the ground and come up without pushing the ground, humbles the best of squatters!
@Alan_Couzens This is where your research is very interesting. Where can I find your results about variation in fat burning rates.
Based on my experience everybody requires a different strategy to practically achieve calorie deficit.
For me 40 min zone 2 works way batter than 10k steps.
@Alan_Couzens Have you seen a case where fat oxidation % is higher in zone 2 compared to zone 1?
I can easily do fat loss by doing 120min zone 2 per week than adding 5k steps per day.
@hjluks This is pure gold. How do you make a beginner appreciate this without experiencing the mistakes? After running, cycling and lifting for a decade I can see how important this is.
@Alan_Couzens Peak at 90% is surprising!
While variation *between* the athletes is bound to be high, for a given athlete variation across HR is of more interest.
Is it fair to say few athletes *maintain* fat burning rate even above 50% and up to 90%HR?
@Alan_Couzens Interesting. How wide is the variation in fat burning rate be between 50% to 90% of max HR?
I mean we need to be concerned about finding max only if the variation is significant.
@BakerBarbell I definitely relate too this. Seeing the progress in poundage is far easier than seeing progress in physique.
What do you think helps to change the mindset?
@nntaleb Is that a part of the reason why world records in sports like athletics keep falling more often. The extremes are more extreme as the population increases?
