Aires/23/she/her🔥🐑 I am a believer in the powers & sentience of the universe, I practice eclectic witchcraft and I use my craft for healing and wellness.
Could use a bit of reinforcement that I'm right here. TW about the following:
My now ex, who I was with for four years, had an ex partner that had a rape fetish and he was with her for 7 years.
So when we got together he didn't disclose this previous fetish engagement for a while
I felt in that moment. Now we've split up he wants to know why but is refusing to accept that he needs to either unlearn that fetish, find someone who likes it, or disclose it entirely, because that was the straw that broke it for me. Am I being an arsehole for trying to hold him
So if ever you come across a tarot reader using a reference book remember these. Because they might be a wicked reader of the cards. They might give you a really insightful reading and help you a lot. So don't judge them based on what their read style looks like. Ffs
So. I have just been tarot shamed (?) because I dont have all my cards memorised. Heres the thing though:
1) I have 9 tarot decks all of which I use regularly. Thats 702 cards all together.
2) my memory is shocking but my ability to read tarot is really good.
3) I like having my reference book with me. It makes me confident in my readings.
4) I wish i had the time to memorise the meanings of 702 cards. But i don't.
5) knowing the dictionary definition of the cards from memory doesn't make you a *better* reader just a smoother one
Putting it out there for all my witches in the woods. You might have to hide your practice It might be unsafe for you to come out as a witch That in itself is not okay & you should be free to practice. Even if you have to hide it you're still a witch. Your practice is still valid
The right to walk down the street, the right to feel safe in your own town, the right to life, the right to be unmolested by law enforcement, the right to breathe. Its not hard. #BlackLivesMattter
If I see one more all lives matter post... THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS BLACK LIVES HAVE BEEN SYSTEMATICALLY ASSUMED TO MEAN LESS. THE WHOLE POINT IS THAY BLACK LIVES MATTER AS MUCH AS ANY OTHER LIFE! Rights, not privileges. Its not hard.
No, I'm not a person of colour. But I see you. And I hear you. And I stand with you. I can breathe because of my white privilege, but I am painfully aware that others can't breathe. Systematic racism must end. Now #blacklivesmatter#endracism#icantbreathe
Today my love goes out to every witch who is unable to practice because of their environment. To every witch who lives in an environment hostile to their craft. And every witch who cannot practice during lockdown. My inbox is always open of you need to talk 🖤🤍🖤🤍
@faeriebites They live in an environment where being a witch is not okay and they need our support as a community.
So I think anyone can BE a witch. But if you're calling yourself a witch then you're speaking to a goal of practical witchcraft, if you're not already practicing.
@faeriebites Witchcraft is a CRAFT. Its a practical thing. So if you're all theory and you're calling yourself a witch I would hope that that's speaking to an intention of actually doing the practice. Because you also have to remember some witches aren't able to openly practice b/c...
