You must have heard about the achievements of the Indian economy over the last 10–12 years. Today, the Indian economy is playing a major role in driving global growth.

When the world was battling the COVID-19 crisis, the Indian economy did not stop. Even during the West Asia crisis, the Indian economy did not slow down.

India grew at an annual rate of 7.7% for the full financial year 2025–26. This pace is the result of India's reforms. We performed, and that is why India is transforming.

Not very long ago, India was almost entirely dependent on imported semiconductor technology. Today, under PM Modi's leadership, India is rapidly emerging as a global semiconductor hub. In 2021, PM Modi launched the Semicon India programme with a clear vision to make India a trusted destination for semiconductor manufacturing.

➡️ India's first semiconductor plant was approved in 2023.
➡️ More projects followed in 2024.
➡️ By 2025, five additional semiconductor projects had been cleared.

In 2026, commercial chip packaging has begun at Sanand. It is proof that India's semiconductor mission is no longer just a vision. It is becoming a reality.
With 10 semiconductor projects attracting over investment worth $18 billion (more than ₹1.5 lakh crore), India's progress reflects one thing above all:
