A 25-year-old gig worker was picked up by Andhra Pradesh police at 3 am on May 6. Weeks later, the police cannot tell the High Court whether he is alive or dead.
All CCTV footage from the station has been deleted.

My voter ID was arbitrarily cancelled by the BLO 2 years go before the last LS elections. Till now I don't know how to appeal that and neither have I had the time.
I have never ever needed the voter ID for any KYC ever, so it wasn't a document I am concerned about, even though I couldn't vote last time.
But the worry has been nagging me constantly. Will this electoral SIR or whatever, start bleeding into other KYC documents?
It appears so. This case is very curious - passport renewal has been denied due to name not on electoral rolls. Voter ID is not a mandatory document for passport.
That nagging fear is not going away that very soon time will be wasted in getting all past documents together and proving oneself as a citizen all over again.

"As the education minister, the home minister and the chief minister of Telangana, can @revanth_anumula @TelanganCMO explain what is happening?
Is this a BJP ruled state? Why are we seeing such nonsense being spread everyday in Telangana?"
Hello @cbseindia29 the 9 marks increase in physics that you are talking about did not get increased through the process of re-evaluation, they are my true marks which you guys don't gave me earlier because you exchanged my answer sheet, and 2 marks were increased 1 mark each in cs and maths
ok now ask the american players what they think about their country bombing a school in iran that killed 168 children. since that actually has something to do with them
Meet Hiba, the youngest pellet victim from kashmir.
If this doesn't move you, you are inhuman.
HOW BOLLYWOOD WHITEWASHES HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS
In a new viral teaser from Jio Studios for his forthcoming 2027 film Chauhaan, actor Ajay Devgn scoffs that tear gas is useless because "masks sell online" and casually dismisses what would be the world's first mass blinding of Kashmiris, saying "Pellet guns... limited damage."
Zakariya has spent 17 years in prison.
Seventeen years.
For almost a decade and a half, his trial did not even begin. During all these years, he was out for less than a week in total.
He couldn’t even visit his ailing mother.
And this is not just any mother. It is Beeyumma, now in her seventies, who has spent years fighting for justice for the son she believes was falsely implicated.
Beeyumma’s struggle went far beyond seeking justice for her son. She approached the Supreme Court challenging the use of the draconian UAPA, turning her personal grief into a larger fight for civil liberties.
The irony is painful.
The trial in the Bengaluru blasts case began only a few years ago and is now almost complete. The Supreme Court had directed that it be concluded within months.
But yesterday, the Karnataka High Court transferred the case from the trial court to another court.
Another court. Another delay. Another set of years.
And then there is Quadir. Another prisoner in the Bengaluru blast case.
He died in prison just weeks ago. Even if he had ultimately been convicted, the maximum punishment for the offence he was accused of was three years. Instead, he spent 17 years behind bars until his last breath.
In India, justice delayed is not merely justice denied. Sometimes, it becomes a life sentence without a conviction.
An Indian film company has announced a film mocking scores of Kashmiri teenagers blinded by pellet guns in 2016. I wrote an essay on it at the time. Assuming people still read long form in the age of hate cinema.

INDIAN EXPRESS DROPS A LAND BOMB ON BJP CM 🔥
After Mohan Yadav became Madhya Pradesh CM, his family and real estate companies reportedly bought at least 137 plots spread over 168 acres in and around Ujjain.
This is the same Ujjain being reshaped for Simhastha 2028 with highways, road widening, townships, riverfront projects, medical city, IT park and new commercial zones.
The most damning part is this: out of the 168 acres bought after he became CM, 111 acres are reportedly located along roads announced by CM Mohan Yadav himself.
His family already had land. But after Dec 2023, the land buying saw a sharp jump, right when Ujjain’s development map started turning into a goldmine.
Indian Express repeatedly asked the CM for answers. He stayed silent.
This is how BJP turns religion into a business model 😡
The government should send a clear message that data sanitisation must not be undertaken under the guise of re-verification- The Hindu Editorial on Census story we reported yesterday.
