@petrenko_ai@TSGlinin Or maybe life in general is much more enjoyable in Eastern Europe so people do want to live much longer there 😃
Completely agreed, though, on the idea that language programs our thinking - plenty of examples all around :)
I found a guy who goes around the US asking 70 to 100-year-olds their:
• Biggest Regrets
• Biggest Lessons
• Advice to their younger self
Oddly enough, most of their answers are the same…
Here are my top 8:
I certainly live in the future! Just look at how my tooth was manufactured today! Dr. scanned my teeth with a 3D camera, designed the shape in CAD, and made it in CNC in 15 minutes. How cool is that?!
Legal immigrants are stuck on the H-1B treadmill while illegal immigrants are starting businesses.
I have several friends on H-1B who make $1M in household income (dual income).
They are looking to do interesting things.
But they are stuck in the infinite H-1B loop waiting for green cards to do more interesting things.
Some of them are willing to let go of one income to take the riskier route.
But they can’t do it.
As time passes, 15 years into their US journey, that motivation goes away.
But some people who immigrated illegally have EADs to do whatever they want.
One of them became a real estate agent and started his own real estate firm, another one owns a gas station and starting a business to more of them.
This is totally flipped.
If skilled immigrants could get permanent residency faster and start their own businesses, we’ll see a lot more interesting ideas in the world.
For the 1st time since I joined #longevity movement, I felt hope & inspiration at @mitcnc event about Science on Reversing the Aging Clock, where leading scientists talked about their projects and companies to increase/improve lifespan. Felt truly privileged. So much is awaiting.
