Dear friends, brothers, sisters, and members of the LGBT community, especially those in the Ugandan LGBT community who were greatly affected by my actions and reactions throughout my fight against the same community, as seen through the passing of the Anti-Homosexuality Act,

I want to sincerely apologize for my past actions. I deeply regret any messages or information I may have shared with those who oppose the LGBT community, such as pastors, government officials, and others. I now realize that I was being used as a tool to fight against the very community I come from, and it has become clear that I was used and then discarded.

Please accept my heartfelt apologies. I am committed to not only apologizing through this text but also doing a public video to express my remorse for the damage I have caused to the entire community. I want you to understand that I now recognize that I was manipulated, and I have also come to the realization that I was abandoned by the individuals in the government who used me to record anti-homosexuality campaign videos.

With this understanding, I humbly ask for your forgiveness and acceptance. I come back to you, seeking another chance and sincerely apologizing for any inconvenience I may have caused to the entire community.

Please receive me back with open hearts, and allow me to make amends and be a part of the change towards promoting tolerance and respect for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation.
