I live in a failed city. City contractors pour wet cement same day as @TheEventsDC concert. Concert attendees drive over the wet cement. Traffic cone now cemented in place. And we’ll wait weeks/ months for the mess to be cleaned up. #WashingtonDC

Evening @TheEventsDC , we have a wet cement situation on the 1800 block of A St SE. Your visitors are driving through it and coating the street with cement.

If you attended the concert tonight at RFK and drove down the 1800 block of A St SE, recommend checking the underside of your car. You drove through wet cement. @AshleySchapitl@AlcornANC7D08

Evening @theHillisHome@ljjanezich@HillRagDC@FeverPotomac - please add status of Stadium Armory metro station to your news updates. $300 million overhaul of @wmata station = closure of station. When will station be closed and for how long? Thanks.
. @AshleySchapitl@AlcornANC7D08 seeking info. Per @cuneytdil the DC Council is seeking $300 million to overhaul Stadium Armory metro station. Does @wmata@wmataGM plan on closing station as part of the overhaul? If so, when are they planning on telling neighbors?
@AshleySchapitl@AlcornANC7D08@cuneytdil@wmata@wmataGM Thank you! My fear is that neighbors who use Stadium Armory metro station to get to work/go to school will be the last to know when, not if, the station will be closed as part of the overhaul.

Crime stats manipulated in DC. House Oversight Committee and DOJ conduct oversight. DC Council stays quiet…..am I surprised by this? No. The DC Council writes laws that help individuals who commit crimes. The DC Council is not going to do oversight re manipulated data.
A deeper dive into what Internal Affairs says it found when it investigated MPD’s top officials including the second in command. https://t.co/qVJj5OEt3a
DC has a juvenile crime problem….if only we had a DC Council that was willing to hold juveniles accountable for their actions. Note that the robbery occurred next to the DC Natl Guard Armory. DC juveniles are not afraid of Natl Guard troops.
Thank you DC Police for arresting woman connected with the murder of a 17 yro boy in Hilleast. I will write a community impact statement for @USAO_DC recommending a long prison sentence.
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a burglary of an establishment that occurred on 12.9.25 in the 1100 block of East Capitol St., SE.

My q after reading @EmmaUber7 article re Smith’s exit speech. How much $ did DC spend on settlements while she was in charge and what’s up with the Lowy FOIA settlement? Why did a gun survivor sue MPD for FOIA?
To ‘haters,’ outgoing D.C. police chief says: ‘F you. ... I forgive you.’
Days after scathing reports eviscerated Chief Smith’s leadership style, Smith and her supporters spoke in a ceremony that felt more like a church service than a police event.

Man broke into the dry cleaners at 11th and East Capitol St SE this week. 2nd time in 4 years. DC small businesses are paying the price for the DC Council soft on crime laws….
Thank you @USAttyPirro for arresting individual re 2021 pipe bomb case. I encourage @charlesallen to write a community impact statement supporting maximum prison sentence (no early release) for the crime.
The well-being of our society rests on our ability as law enforcement to safeguard our citizens. When bad actors intervene to disrupt and threat that peace – to destroy the very fabric of our country – we must, we do, and we will track them down and hold them to account for their crimes to the full extent of the law. FBI and members of my office worked around the clock to methodically piece together the clues that ultimately identified the defendant.
DC Council finally admitted that DC has a juvenile crime problem. Admittance = youth curfew. Now can we finally update DC law to hold juveniles accountable for committing crime? @jennygathright
National Guard soldier Sarah Beckstrom murdered in DC. I encourage all elected DC reps to write community impact statements supporting maximum prison sentence for her shooter.
“I just want justice for my son”
I ask all DC Councilmembers who supported the early release of convicted murderers to update DC law to mandate that murderers serve their full sentence. Too many DC families suffering b/c of current soft on crime laws.
