Today is 12 October 2026 and 23 days to the Local Government Elections.
Access to electricity has increased substantially over the past decade? But access isn't the same as reliability and both matter to households. We've acknowledged the gaps.
Now, it's time to look forward and do more and do better.
Let's continue building better communities together.

ANC NEC Member Cde Buti Manamela conducted a door-to-door campaign in the Mogalakwena Sub-Region of the Waterberg Region, as part of the organisation’s ongoing community engagement and grassroots mobilisation programme.
He was accompanied by ANC Waterberg Deputy Regional Chairperson Cde Ngoako Taueatsoala and members of the Waterberg Regional Executive Committee (REC).
The campaign provided an opportunity for ANC leaders to engage directly with residents, listen to their concerns, understand the challenges facing communities, and interact with households on issues affecting their daily lives. These engagements are an important platform for strengthening communication between the organisation and the people it serves.
Through door-to-door outreach, the ANC continues to engage communities at grassroots level, receive feedback on service delivery, and encourage active participation in community development and democratic processes.
The campaign reaffirmed the importance of people-centred leadership, accountability, and sustained engagement with communities to ensure that their voices remain central to the organisation’s work.

“When we enter the doors of a place of worship, we bring more than our physical presence,” she said, highlighting the importance of faith, spiritual strength and the reassurance that no one has to face life’s darkest moments alone.
Her message spoke to the role of the church as a place of refuge, hope and encouragement, where people draw strength to face life’s challenges and renew their faith in a better tomorrow.
