#ANCGovtAtWork | The ANC-led Polokwane Municipality has taken decisive action to improve the Polokwane’s road network, with rehabilitation and upgrading underway across the municipality. From Polokwane Central to Seshego, Mankweng, Nirvana and Westernburg, work is underway to improve the road network.
This work gives practical expression to the ANC’s Local Government Action Plan which identified road rehabilitation as a priority in the drive to improve visible service delivery.

In an operation in Polokwane today, 24 vehicles were compounded, comprising 4 seven-seaters, 20 minibuses, 1 discontinued vehicle, and 1 summons issued for conveying persons in an LDV.
Safety of learners are paramount to the ANC and the Limpopo Provincial Government it leads.
A compliant scholar transport vehicle must:
- Be roadworthy and in good mechanical condition
- Have a valid operating licence for scholar transport
- Not be overloaded
- Be clearly identified as transporting learners
- Comply with all traffic and road safety laws

While presenting the 2025 Adjustment Budget at the Limpopo Legislature yesterday, ANC deployee as MEC for Limpopo Treasury Comrade Kgabo Mahoai highlighted the province’s remarkable economic performance under the ANC-led Limpopo Provincial Government. He noted that “our province is not just surviving the economic uncertainty; we are leading the growth curve in the country at the moment.”
MEC Mahoai pointed to the significant 5.2 percentage-point drop in Limpopo’s unemployment rate and the province’s strong contribution to national GDP growth, emphasising that these gains show that “our economic efforts are translating into jobs for our people.”

• ANC deployee as Limpopo MEC for COGHSTA, Comrade Basikopo Makamu, delivered a call to action as he opened the third instalment of the Housing Development Agency (HDA) stakeholder roadshow, held under the theme “Building Partnerships for Effective Solutions.”
The two-day engagement, which began on Thursday, 06 November 2025, brings together roleplayers from national and provincial government, municipalities and the human settlements sector, to strengthen collaboration and accelerate delivery.
As part of his input to the session, MEC Basikopo Makamu also proposed the establishment of a Limpopo Human Settlements Compact, a collective commitment by all stakeholders to fast-track the provision of decent, integrated human settlements. The compact will focus on integrated planning, accelerated delivery, and community upliftment, ensuring that every project drives local economic development and restores dignity to families.
He challenged delegates to reflect on the legacy they will leave behind, asking: “Will we be remembered as a generation that held endless meetings, or as a generation that rolled up its sleeves, locked arms as partners, and finally turned the tide? I know which legacy I choose. Let us leave this place not just with our notebooks full of minutes, but with fire in our hearts and concrete plans in our heads. Let us build not just houses, but homes.”
This focus puts in actions the ANC Action Plan on Local Government, Pillar 1, which tackles core service delivery priorities such as housing, water and sanitation; and Pillar 2, promoting effective and sustainable infrastructure while advances inclusive local economic development and job creation (Pillar 5).
By working together to overcome barriers and deliver with urgency, the ANC-led government in Limpopo continues to advance its commitment to building better communities where every family can live with dignity, pride and hope.
