I'm finally digging into the Google Algo Leak and, WOW, there's a lot there.

I've long said that a domain's history and age was important. And lo and behold, it is.

I also assert that certain TLDs are suppressed - especially .biz and .xyz, but no evidence for this... yet!

Finally! It's definitely been a turbulent rollout and it's taken much longer than expected.

Lots of opinions on twitter about the impact but I'd have to say that from what I'm seeing, few sites were impacted unfairly.

@TerribleMaps Truly terrible. A map showing countries with maternity leave that you can actually survive on would be much more interesting. UK *technically* offers 39 weeks, but only 6 of those are at 90% of pay. The rest is half of the average mortgage or rent people have to pay.

I think it's very clear that the August HCU update did not go to plan.... I personally think that's what the onslaught of updates since has been about - rectifying the rollout. Though I agree, I don't think they've rolled back. Yet.
