@StellaEscoTV@NickKristof@dannydanon Procedure of such meetings allow members to ‘interrupt’ a speaker to make a point of order. I would consider this information to qualify as simple journalism.
“You will be quiet cos I am speaking now”
@dannydanon you embarrassed yourself in front of the whole world.
Solidarity with @_VanessaFrazier for following proper procedure and standing up against a personal attack.
People often ask me how I remain composed in a challenging environment like the United Nations. The answer is simple: there are moments when staying silent is not an option.
During a UN discussion following the deeply troubling decision to place Israel alongside Hamas on a UN blacklist, I chose to speak out.
As I raised serious concerns about the integrity of the process and those responsible for it, a senior UN official attempted to interrupt my remarks. The effort appeared aimed at preventing scrutiny of a deeply flawed process and the decisions that emerged from it.
When our soldiers, our sons and daughters, are falsely accused, silence is not an option. I will always stand up for those who defend the State of Israel.

One day we will say more about that culture. As the Charity Commission once said “no organisation is more important that the people they serve”. I would add that no leader’s ego is more important than the integrity of the staff they lead.

I met some wonderful colleagues during my time at .@iamCARITAS. The historical decision taken by @Pontifex in Nov-22 to oust the disgraced former Secretary General was bold & courageous. It gave Caritas the opportunity to renew itself & move away from its previous abusive culture
#DaphneCaruanaGalizia should have turned 59 today.
Instead, we must finish what she started. To expose the truth. To find justice. To hold those responsible & those who tried to cover it up accountable. To finalise a fit-for-purpose EU anti-SLAPP law.
That's how we honour her.
