@ZPostFacto The single best food in Europe are Belgian fries. I'm not even Belgian, but it's unbelievable how much better a food we all know can be just by changing a few seemingly minor things about it. And the worst part is we could all make fries the same way but just... decided not to.
@Carter21612934 We're looking into it and have identified the cause, just finding a workaround is nontrivial since the overhead is coming from the engine.
@ZPostFacto Dash Water, Perrier Lime, Perrier Lemon (not super strong flavor, but stronger than LaCroix)
Club-Mate (depending on your definition of low sugar)
Bonus: There are a couple of cocktail recipes with Club-Mate.
@ZPostFacto I generally agree, but let's not judge him too harshly. Need to consider his past experience with bullying, how odds were stacked against his companies, receiving constant hate. Can understand his faults. Can also appreciate someones work without approving 100% of their actions.
@rocket2guns@petersonjm1 I know we've had them track down these types of issues from just a development build of the game a few years ago. I wonder what internal processes or policies changed that it's now okay for them to just close the report unless you present everything to them on a platter of gold.
@rocket2guns@petersonjm1 It's always the same story with these types of bug reports, isn't it. If something is ever going to improve at Unity, they will need to start figuring out the clean repros themselves. Difficult to justify the time investment on your end if you can just work around it instead.
@ZPostFacto As a customer I liked it because it forced app developers to keep their software up to date. Those who didn't got replaced. Perhaps incompatible with viewing software as a piece of art, but this has always been a fundamental part (and selling point) of the Apple ecosystem.
@ZPostFacto It's a matter of perspective. As a developer I often enjoyed the lack of backwards compatibility in the Apple ecosystem, because it would simplify things and allow for big steps forward. As you say, in the Windows ecosystem it comes at high cost, not only for Microsoft.
@xoofx@unity We've been hesitant since 1.3.9 is the latest version that's tagged as 2019.4 verified. We'll hopefully update the engine soon, but prior attempts to update to 2020.x have been too unstable.
@xoofx@unity If the team wants to help, bug report 1392222 is another one we've given up on. The issue has a clear description with sufficient information to debug. As with all these issues, impossible to create a minimal reproduction project with reasonable time investment.
@xoofx@unity We're on engine 2019.4.7f1 / burst 1.3.9. Given the nature of the issue and the fact that our project is 75GB in size I'm sure you already know the answer to your other questions. Difficult to imagine a scenario where the time we'd have to invest would pay off.
