@sonnymagana The next layer of T3 learners across our school district. 30+ academic coaches and admin rep. 10 schools developing their conversational understanding of T1 Translation. #T3Challenge#T3Framework#ClimbOn
Q8: T1.1 E.G. Students solve a math problem and scan a QR code to check their answer. Useful activity, but teachers often stop at this translational.automation use. Using QR codes in this way should be the starting point. #T3Challenge
My T3 metaphor = John Wooden Effect. If your socks aren't on properly, you can't run the offense. Without the offense, you can't win games. 10xNat'l Champs Transcended the game of bball and beyond. #T3Challenge
Q7: VanHalen needed to understand the foundation (T1,2) of the guitar in order to transcend (T3) music. Students need a foundational understanding of technology (T1,2) in order to apply it to solve wicked problems (T3) #T3Challenge
Q6: TPACK & SAMR are teacher-centric. Both have been very useful for me. SAMR shows the need to use tech for more than simple tasks. TPACK shows the need for balance similar to techno-neutrality. T3 shows the students and teachers a pathway to high achievement #T3Challenge
Q5: I'm guilty of forcing EdTech just to climb the SAMR mountain. My "why" was wrong. This is a strong temptation for many teachers familiar with the SAMR model. The "why" with T3 is clear...Student Achievement #T3Challenge
Q4: The pattern I see w/supporting research is that it does not support the tool itself. The research is supporting the effective application of the tool...Solid pedagogy, as it relates to the tool, is required to attain a high effect size. #T3Challenge
Q3: In less than 10 yrs, I've seen schools move from none:1 to 1:1. Sadly, lots of EdTech is still used to consume video clips & type papers. 1:1 is a hollow status symbol w/o innovation. #T3Challenge
Q2: Mid-High techno-bias, I thought I would be higher. Very important to move towards techno-neutrality. I don't think tech, will automatically add value. Good teaching combined with appropriate tech use will add value. #T3Challenge
Q1: Disruptive or distractive? I've seen it do both. It depends on the teacher. EdTech won't turn a bad teacher into a good teacher. It will make a bad teacher worse. @sonnymagana#T3Challenge
We’ve been trying to scale the side of the mountain to help our Ss become social entrepreneurs. Thanks @sonnymagana for showing us that there’s a trail. Taking the #T3Challenge, 1 step at a time.
