@RuneSolberg_111 det forklarer ganske mye
moloch er en metafor for systemer der alle handler fornuftig hver for seg, men hvor resultatet blir katastrofalt for fellesskapet
K-shaped agency.
most people acknowledge that AGENCY is the key trait that will separate winners and losers in the agentic age.
do you actually get up and do shit at your own initiative? or do you just sit around waiting to be prompted.
that’s agency.
increasingly I’m observing that agency is reflexive.
agency begets agency.
and conversely, if you’re low agency, AI makes it EASIER for you to be low agency.
this is super dangerous!
competent people risk becoming complacent.
if you mostly do THE SAME as before, but at lower effort (due to AI) you’re at risk.
if you aim higher, going for 10x the quality and speed, you’re on the right track.
if you’re reading this, you should feel a deep sense of urgency to develop agency.
we’re all human beings, and it makes sense that you experience some AI fatigue.
but get back on the horse!
spend 1 hour with AI right now and see how much further you can push the boundaries vs 6 months ago.
we have intelligence on tap and it’s DIRT CHEAP.
you have 20 team mates who could be working for you right now.
but they’re idling.
go out there and build what you’ve always dreamed of.
never been a better time to go all-in.
power plays
-welfare that creates high tax rates
-corporate/bank bailouts that socialize losses
-heavy licensing, zoning, and regulations that reward compliance over value creation
-price or rent controls that reduce incentives to expand supply
freedom plays
-private savings and voluntary insurance
-independent work, side hustles and freelancing
-private education or homeschooling
-voluntary tools for exchange, security, and dispute resolution
They
play power games → reduce our freedom
We
play freedom games → reduce their power

(Launching the Norwegian editions later this evening.)
fully agree
however, games can be put aside
and we can reload/revive to try again
maybe its already like that, who knows? i didnt dare to find out for sure
i find the concept of being aware of your decision-space, making the lowest entropy choice and leaning from the consequences as a feedback loop very useful
your decision-space is the set of choices you can actually see and act on right now
some options stay hidden because of fear, ego, or limited awareness
pick the choice that looks like it creates the most order and care for everyone involved, given what you know
then watch what happens and learn from the result
better choices expand what you can see next time
worse ones shrink it
the point is the repeated process of choosing and learning rather than getting every decision perfect
focus on yourself as a human being rather than human doing (actor)
intentions matter, and i would argue its better to be good than to do good
and a huge and frequent reminder i use a lot: everything has sorted itself ok so far, even the worst days and worst events in my life
right here, right now, im safe and there are no real problems
they only exist in the past or the future... unless im pumped up on adrenaline and navigate to my best ability or surrender completely
my biggest challenges in this game is dealing with the conditioned shame and guilt
and caring too much about the (wrong) rules
bad guys need to get lucky all the time
good guys only need to get lucky once
@olavchen "det er bare vås"
"politikere er gode på hersketeknikker"
er ikke dette også hersketeknikker?
bankene og politikere har mer eller mindre all makt
bankene skaper penger, setter krav på hvem som kan bruke dem og hvordan
politikerene sier når tvang og vold er greit eller ikke
