As usual for these earlier meetings and the Autumn ones at Chester, if you have a CH postcode it's half price. But you do need to physically go to the ticket office to prove it. Don't lazily book online if you can help it.
£20 in Tatts today. Most are paying £40.
The worst thing about this heatwave is that I've got loads of yank Cletus the Slack-Jawed Yokel types saying things like 'Y'all' all over my timeline. 🤮
@racingoncourse Sandown is the best meeting this week, selfishly I'd prefer it to be the main one on Sat. Haydock lost JoG and also race 4 other times in this 10 day period. Chester will take the flak because it's just fashionable to do so but will be the crowd puller.
@MikeParcej Doesn't work unfortunately Mike, changed hands numerous times, known as the Fat Cat for most of it's existence. On a standard night out if you're going that way people get to Bar Lounge, then see the main road and turn around back in to town.
🔴⚪ NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM ANNOUNCED ⚪🔴
Ilkeston Town Football Club are delighted to welcome Tristram Whitman as our new First Team Manager, alongside Aaron Large who joins as Assistant Manager.
Both coaches bring real energy, ambition, and a clear desire to progress up the football pyramid. Their ethos aligns perfectly with the vision of the club, and they are committed to developing talent across all levels.
A huge part of their role will be working closely with our juniors and academy players, helping to build a clear and exciting pathway from grassroots football right through to the first team. Tristram and Aaron will also be supported by the football club to bring in players that will help us to hopefully be successful this season.
Chairman Andrew Nally said:
“I am looking forward to working with them in what promises to be an extremely exciting summer at the club.”
There’s plenty more to come… 👀

@silkmenarmy They’re honestly the worst fans in the league. They attack their own player’s wives, kids, players. They gang up 20 on 2 against lads who don’t want it. Scum. That’s before the delusion they have that they’re still a big club with a divine right to promotion.
An expected defeat for Macclesfield. Beat an injury hit knackered side on Wednesday, over celebrated it and quick turnaround. 300+ unsold tickets suggests they didn't believe deep down.
Cheesy grin wiped from @paul_dawson7 face.
Human behaviour is fascinating. People are queuing several deep for the bar at Uttoxeter despite there being a completely empty one about 20 yards away.
@cestrian_10 The more I watch it the more Kay is at fault. Woodthorpe tries to get the ball, Kay prevents him then throws a punch, Woodthorpe then chucks him to the ground.
