🚨 RRC member @MGMA took to the Senate Aging Committee yesterday as Incoming Board Chair Jeffrey Smith called out the burden of MA prior auth requirements and urged action through the #SeniorsAct. We're proud to see our members leading the way for patients and physicians. 👏👏👏
Appreciate it @MedEconomics. Thankfully this week’s spending bill restored the Medicare 1.0 work RVU GPCI floor, but physician practices need permanent solutions for this and other “extenders” to avoid unnecessary uncertainty. @MGMA

More evidence Congress needs to enact a permanent solution to telehealth flexibilities expiring at the end of the month. Pass the CONNECT for Health Act (S.1261; H.R. 4206) to allow Medicare
beneficiaries to continue accessing vital telehealth services. Stop the cycle of short-term fixes. @MGMA

@ACEPAdvocacy (via a draft written by the Reimbursement Committee work group that I chair) wrote to @UHC protesting this policy as it relates to Point of Care Ultra-Sounds (POCUS) in 2025.
UHC wrote back citing that their policy aligned w/ @CMSGov which is NOT true, as there is no "separate report" POCUS requirement for CMS.
Once again, UHC earns its reputation as the most disliked and distrusted health plan in the USA, and this is just one more example of anti-clinician and hospital policies.
