Borrowed from a linkedin post - inclusion must start from the top, representation matters, if you don’t have the skills on the board what are you doing to grow those skills?
Grabbing a moment with the legendary Kevin Coombs & quietly effective Sara Anderson (Chair @disabilitysprt ) before the awards start. Planning to spend evening scouting out recognition for Wheelchair Rugby for next year #vicdsrawards#achievement#WheelchairRugby
Use a prosthesis or orthosis? Ever thought about volunteering at La Trobe? Semester 2 teaching is off and racing and we need your help!

@k_eagar@sally_stevensxn Very disrespectful and really inappropriate. As an academic who left during Covid I don’t think universities were doing much other than trying to survive. Teaching has changed but publishing academics ⬆️ output and are celebrated while the rest of us homeschooled and output ⬇️.
@mbismark Covid seems to have made getting reviewers so difficult. I know I have a specific odd set of skills so I accept those reviews. 1 a month is my limit these days. As an associate editor it is blatently obvious that some of the most prolific publishers consistent refuse any reviews.
@JacquelineMaley My kids school has a Mother’s Day breakfast. Organized and staffed by the dads. It took one dad about 6 years to stand up and say this is nuts. Since then mums hots Father’s Day breaksfast. Dads host Mother’s Day breakfast.
We need to be prepared to hear and act on the many, different and complex experiences of #disability
I applaud your work Dylan Alcott, but we can’t all ‘love’ our disability https://t.co/VXEWIA9sCM
@RACostantini9 I left a tenured role after 15 years, I had many great experiences and supportive people I worked with but a small field with limited opportunities meant a constant uphill battle. 18 months down the track I don’t regret it at all, my stress levels ⬇️ WLB ⬆️ but still miss bits.
@axcollie There’s over 800,000 registered healthcare professionals in Australia not including those self regulated professions like social work, speech pathology, prosthetics and orthotics, dietetics - it’s scary how low the RAT numbers are then. Never mind holidays…
