@edmodo Oh no!! @edmodo has been a stalwart staple in my teaching for 10 years. I would have been more than happy to pay for a membership. Being an edmodo ambassador this is going to be a lot of work to salvage the materials.
Thank you for the past ten years
There’s so much you can learn from just creating one artifact that represents what you have learned. Every Ss in my SS9 create an artifact that represents the big picture idea they have learned from taking this course. #constructivism@bcedchat@bcssta
Project based learning really does encourage #constructivism learning and Ss creative potential. #PBL really does reflect critical care thinking and I enjoy seeing the 3D model of BC locations that personally interest them. @bcssta@bcedchat@atassc
I thought as a class conversation starter and ice breaker activity after a three week break I brought my kayak to school. The Ss in my socials and geography classes were instantly quite interested and engaged as this was unique and different #seaeagle#kayak#classroom
@Mrs_Educate@MrsLauraW This is my favourite place to think and reflect on various geology and geography topics which relate to local matters. I would use the book “Vancouver: city on the edge” as my reference point. #appleEDUchat

@mat6453 A5: The main challenge is helping to guide the students to understand what the key difference is between inquiry vs just “googling” the answer. It is the difference between memorization learning vs deep learning. #appleEDUchat
@mat6453 A1: Inquiry learning to me means my Ss will explore a topic that interests them personally which is based upon what had been covered in class. #appleEDUchat
@mat6453 A3: Ed Tech can be used to empower Ss who would normally be afraid to present to their classmates whether it is face-to-face or via a TEAMS call. Additionally Tt can pre-record their lessons, create a playlist and save it to be reused over and over again. #appleEDUchat
@MrsLauraW A2: In inquiry learning Ss create their own questions, research the answer to their own questions and then share their discoveries with the class. It is not a Tt based lecture and test based model of memorizing learning. Inquiry is deep learning. #appleEDUchat
What I enjoy is watching my Ss be creative and share their BIG IDEA or aka artifact for the course with their classmates. This is a perfect example of #projectbasedlearning & #constructivism as a final project in SS9. @bcedchat@bcssta
@MirCWalsh The remote learning support was critical this year with the various lockdowns or shut downs. It strained and highlighted a technological divide between staff or departments. #appleEDUchat
@MirCWalsh A3: The use of AppleEDU has been varied but it is essentially used at a district or a school level to provide EDUtech support. Those who have the training at the school level administer and monitor the classroom set of iPads. #appleEDUchat
@mcoutts81 A2: planning & communication is vitally important because there might be resistance from those who have not adapted their materials to any type of LMS, or Web 2.0 programming such as @edmodo It is wise to have a few staff champions to promote and support the curve #appleEDUchat
