When I was 16 all I could think about was trying to figure out how to text girls and how to convince my friends to buy me Taco Bell. In no way, shape or form was I ready to vote in a political election. People at 16 are generally not mature enough to make an informed decision.
I used to take a victory lap every time one of these stories came out. It felt good to see history vindicate my decision to expose the government's wrongdoing. Nowadays I just wish it hadn't taken me so long to speak up. If only I hadn't been so afraid.
