@AtomicTrucker Floorplans are at the outer edge. The void at the very edges is where the windows are. Some are quarters, some conference rooms. Look for beds, they're easier to spot.

Enterprise D: Deck 12 quarters located along the rim of double windows on the ventral saucer. Having checked everywhere online, I don't think anyone has ever visualised this area before outside of the plans in Rick Sternbach's TNG Technical Manual.

@MarkP3651 Yeah, it's a shame. They just built sets that could be easily reused or redressed. These quarters share a footprint with those on Decks 7/8 so they'd only need to do the windows really.

@JoeOfTheSith I don't think the TNG Technical Manual specifically states what areas were specifically considered VIP. We saw admirals being housed in the room literally next door to Picard and I think that's all we see. Deck 12 has a few of these.

@PegasusJF31 If I were to redo it I'd set it lower than the floorspace with a glass handrail. I did kinda like the open plan of it though and keep the wall as part of the room rather than a feature that's kept away from the living space.
