@RogersHistory It took me more than 10 year to recover my career after making the decision to go to a school that turned out to be completely toxic, mainly due to the impact it had on my mental health and confidence. I only spent a term there!

Job because I love teaching and I want to give young people the best possible life chances but folks need to understand it is a difficult job. Other jobs are difficult too. But please stop saying we have it easy or we don’t care about children. It is mean and offensive
My union is not striking but I will support my colleagues. I have seen a lot of BS about teachers conditions so I thought I would describe my day yesterday. 7.00 arrive at work to plan, prepare, answer emails and do admin.
turned off at 12.30. Finally onto 6th Form open evening at 6. Finally left school at 7.15. I haven’t even included dealing with pupils issues, entering behaviour data, photocopy resources all which have to be fitted in. Those who think we work 9-3 really have no idea. I do this
