cranky poet. Lullaby for One Fist (Wesleyan); Sunday w/ the Sound Turned Off (Lost Horse). living w/ #ovariancancer but cranky way before that. she/her.
#cancertwitter, being treated for a progression surrounding lining of stomach cells. Smtms nausea is from chemo, others it’s from cancer itself… not any 1 thing works for both. Remedies, suggestions, even out of box? Really struggling. Ty #nausea#remedy#cancer
Science says shrink yourself from the larger world.
Sundays say consider the wild campaign of spring,
almost arrogant in its yellow ingenuity, and in
the certainty something will soften, sometime soon.
@Merlin0928@eatshitcommie@emrazz I also have cancer, am in the throes of a brutal chemo treatment, and do not have a great prognosis —-and will agree with you: feminism is not cancer.
Inspired by @bowelbabe , a words of my own to help w/ sleep:
“…not even science knows everything.
what you’re certain is rust in one light,
is easily ornament in another.
believe you’ll live beyond expectation.
amplify the thought inside you.”#fuckcancer
@silke4senate Thank you so much for posting these. Having a really rough time with symptoms of latest progression and they helped so much with their sunny cheer. xx
@wooden_files @serendipityvert @GeoffTutor@maryharristw @RitterLab “Favor” is the right word here IMO. You can do all the recommended things, and still get cancer. Many women diagnosed w/ OC don’t have BRCA mutations. Unpleasant, but the truth is you can seem ok one day and be diagnosed w/ advanced cancer the next. I wish it weren’t so.
