My mistake last time is that I was taking more than I can handle and people pay the price because of it.
The plan for now is settle one job at a time, and if I can I’ll slit in some gameready fullbody VRChat based on my style. No new commission until this debt is done.
I want to do things rights. I want to settle things and not leaving people hanging anymore.
Talk is cheap so I’ll show it by posting here for people to see and held me accountable.
@Blender
Long time user since 2.79
I've since tried to use 2.8 but the infinity grid makes it hard for me to focus so I use 2.79 for everything else and rendering only on 2.8 and above.
Can I request for a toggle button between infinity and limited grid?
@reduzio When an artist has to fight with the engine that’s when Godot already lose them. More will come to my conclusion in a matter of time. It’s advisable to address it soon than when more people has lost interest in Godot.
I’m saying this as an artist who’s now learning python atm.
@reduzio With the current workflow there’s no way to partition or arrange the lightmap UV into different section of a level for better optimization unless you separate it into different scenes.
I’d like to keep the shader simple to keep the spec requirement low with no post process. 1/2
@Sony_Shock The path may be different but neither is more valid than the other. You’ve done so for 15 years and that alone is quite an achievement in my opinion ✨
@BMBrice_cake On one hand if they decided to knock on your door they may have a good case. The others is it’s not worth their time and money to pursue such case.
It can go under parody territory if you redo the whole frame in your style. Take it with a grain of salt as I’m not a lawyer.
@allisonperryart Plus what looks fine in 2d might not translate well in 3d (like hairstyle) so there’s a back and forth with till we find a nice middle ground. 3/4 front and back is normally suffice unless the client wants it accurate then front back and side views.
@allisonperryart 90% of the time it’s 3/4 views or rotation view of a character. But knowing when not to follow reference when an artist didn’t have a firm grasp of a subject (ie vehicles) is a useful skill to have. It helps when your lead isn’t anal about following the concept to the dot.
Atm I’m busy fixing some part of the houses that’s overdue and other irl events. Will try to make at least one 3d model per month to get the flow going again and maybe a few 3d sketch here and there.
