Odobert was a cheap punt from a relegated Burnley. Savinho has 13 Brazilian caps at the age of 22 and has spent a couple of years at City. Different pedigree.

Manchester United won’t spend €85m+ to sign Mateus Fernandes, while clubs like Spurs and Real Madrid are prepared to pay what’s necessary for the players they actually want.

Every ambitious club backs its manager in the market. United? Still hunting for the cheapest deals and settling for mid players who can’t even break into their national team’s starting XI.
