There are very powerful men that have exploited politics, religion, wealth to prey on everyone in some way. They prey on women and children by not only directing attacking and abusing but also making legislation that can directly harm, even kill in some cases.

And the Church is what the Right clings to soooooo fiercely. Well, like I said, the right loooooooves them some pedophiles. But when it comes to LGBTQ, that group gets labeled pedophiles with NO EVIDENCE and then they are demonized just for existing.

There are PLENTY of reports of the Catholic Church paying off families to silence them about misdeeds from their priests and clergymen. The money and gifts are exchanged and the perpetrator is typically located to a new parish where they can REOFFEND.

Nobody has ever actually conjured up God during a sermon and had him speak to the congregation. Jesus himself has never actually delivered a sermon in (supposedly) 2000 years, so all we have are all these old men who we know for a fact have a proclivity for pedophilia.

All of these rituals to make a cardinal, deacon, pope look legitimate is to make you feel a sense of authority when you even hear the word. They want you to think they have the most special connection with God and that’s why what they say matters.

The Catholic Church went on literal crusades in the name of a man, who in their own book is CLEARLY A LOVE WINS HIPPIE. There is no reason to believe that he would want that, but it’s much easier to use a non-present figure to base a rule system on.
