分かり易い。まさに聞いてほしかったMC/ML契約の件について言及して頂いてありがとうございました。良いか悪いかはではなくどのような性質なのかを理解することが重要と感じました。海外の投資家の方にも伝わってほしい。

SQUEEZE (558A)'s Solutions and Support Types
SQUEEZE's full support business model involves two types of contracts, and their features are as follows
MC (Management Contract)
Under this arrangement, the owner retains ownership and management of the hotel, while SQUEEZE only takes on the operations
This type of contract is generally considered lower risk for the operator, since the owner bears the risk from occupancy rates and demand swings
In exchange, the revenue SQUEEZE can earn is limited to the operating fee, leaving less room for upside
ML (Master Lease)
Under this arrangement, SQUEEZE leases the entire property from the owner and runs it under a rental agreement
This type of contract is generally considered to offer greater upside, since any revenue above the rent belongs entirely to the operator
In exchange, the operator also bears the risk from lower occupancy or weaker demand, which means greater downside risk as well
Summary
Given the nature of these contracts, MC and ML appear to represent opposite ends of the risk return spectrum, MC being lower risk and lower return, ML being higher risk and higher return.
(It is worth noting that this comparison is not something SQUEEZE has stated directly in its disclosures, but a general inference based on how each contract type works.)
SQUEEZE's revenue today comes mainly from full support, and the company's own slide states that its profit level is 100 times that of technology support, which offers software only.
This figure compares full support as a whole against technology support as a whole, and does not indicate which contract type, MC or ML, is more profitable

Kyrie Irving says Kobe Bryant told him to read ‘The Alchemist’ in order to stop being obsessed with proving people wrong
“He knew how curious I was, not just about being great at the game, but about life. That’s why he gave me the book ‘The Alchemist’ and told me to read that… Kobe’s smart… He studied all the greats in every other industry so he could figure out how to be great too…”
“It was about really taking the time to get to know who the people are around you. Get to know them as much as you invest in watching the game. I’m an avid student of all the greats in basketball.”
“He really put all those other authors in my life so I could help balance what I was into. Since I was 12 or 13 years old, I’ve studied basketball more than 10,000 hours, as they say before you become an expert or master your craft.”
“I’ve played more than 10,000 hours. I’ve done all that. When I got to Boston, I was ready for a new challenge, but I didn’t know how it was going to come from within. That’s why he gave me The Alchemist.”
“The journey is the reward. Embrace the journey. Don’t think about the end goal so much where you’re fixated on trying to prove people wrong or be at the mountaintop without going through the details that it takes to really appreciate it. That was him.”
“His mentorship was like, ‘Yo, stay curious, bro. I know you’re different. You’re not like everybody else out here.’”
SQUEEZE (558A) shares have risen ~40% from the Q2 earnings-day low of ¥4,400 (Aug 13) to today's high of ¥6,170.

Gary Payton says he taught Kobe his secrets because Kobe asked him to teach him, despite knowing he would use that information against him for the rest of his career
“Kobe was already different. He was a different kid. I was about 10 or 11 years into the NBA at the time, and Kobe didn’t have a fear of asking anybody how to get better.”
“He came by me and was like, ‘Big bro, you be doing this and that. I really want to learn this because of you.’ When he said that, that took something in my heart. A kid with his ability, knowing where he was going, really wanted to learn, and he didn’t have an ego.”
“I didn’t mind. I didn’t care about him knowing how to do it and stop it because if he knows it, it makes me better too. Because I gave him the game, now I’ve got to learn how to stop him. I’ve got to show him something else.”
“It didn’t really bother me, and me and him got so tight. Especially when I went to the Lakers and was mentoring him, we got really, really tight.”
NBA veteran Harrison Barnes just bought a small Iowa bank — putting in $25M of his own money.
We discussed why he did it, his "Dream Team" board, and what 14 years in NBA locker rooms taught him about banking.

That is up 48 yen, or 1.83%, from the previous close.
The next earnings release is scheduled for September 11. It will cover the second quarter results, February through July.
I am watching inbound tourism demand and Chinese consumer trends closely. So far I see no negative signals. Both the Kaneko Optical and 999.9 businesses continue to show steady momentum.
