watched a guy launch his first product last month
$27 notion template. actually solid.
he announced it once. got 14 likes. made 2 sales.
"digital products don't work anymore"
meanwhile i launched a worse product in 2023 and made $4K first week
the difference wasn't the product
it was what happened before the launch
here's what nobody tells you:
the launch isn't day 1. the launch is day 30.
days 1-29 you're pre-selling without selling.
posting about the problem your product solves. not the product.
"here's why most people fail at X"
"the mistake i made that cost me $2K"
"what i'd do differently if i started over"
every post is a brick. you're building a house before you invite anyone inside.
by day 30 your audience has seen the problem 15+ times.
they've felt the pain. they've nodded along. they've thought "that's me."
now when you say "i made something that fixes this" they don't need convincing.
they've been pre-convinced for a month.
that guy who flopped? he built the house and invited people on the same day.
strangers don't walk into random houses.
but if they've watched you build it brick by brick, they're already halfway through the door.
your product isn't the launch.
the 30 days before is the launch.
i broke down my entire pre-launch system. what to post, when to post, how to warm up an audience before you ever ask for money.
RT and comment "PRELAUNCH" (must be following)
@hthieblot Missed timelines and scope creep killed margins at my dev agency. Building a private AI engine for PM/Support teams that predicts the financial impact of delays, as well as knowing everything about projects. No users yet. solving a pain Iβve lived. Privacy & self hosted AI-first
been producing music with #Flstudio since '15 and for research I'm curious what you guys' biggest pains are with it? think: crashes, naming projects, VST's and more.

@uiuxEra Clean and cuteπ, would add hints of pet-related things for more of a feel. a question i'd ask myself if i was creating this is "if i remove all text and images, does my design still feel like a pet care website?", think pawprints, etc.
@samm_duc Definitely open to ideas, i'm currently approaching it in a way where i get the FDA data and then put that into json data of multiple medicines, which i can parse with the AI model in 1 go, reducing api calls from a per midicine basis to batch. and increasing loading time
Today's goal for the medical system i'm building: optimize UX, while improving on usage of api's. since we're using free ones, the rate-limits kick in fast.

@samm_duc i'm building medtech that allows caregivers to understand interactions between all medicine in usage with FDA-approved data and so the FDA API has some rate-limits and OpenRouter AI models that i use for summarizing and translating have rate-limits, so trying to bridge this gap
It's stramge how the many skills we pickup in life, all fit just right into the next thing we do. I'm building my own tech infused with AI and i see this everyday, whether marketing, med or business...strange π€
