Condolences at this hour of national loss and grief: Btsai Romodan Mohammed Nur, veteran freedom fighter and one of the pioneers and prominent leaders of the Eritrean Liberation struggle, has passed away at the age of 83 due to illness.
Btsai Romodan joined the ELF in 1964 and was Commissioner of Fourth Department in the early years of the liberation struggle. He was one of the founders of the EPLF in 1970. Btsai Romodan was elected as the Secretary General of the EPLF in its first Congress in 1967.
Another national HERO and Eritrean star Btsai Romodan Mohammed Nur has fallen. Big loss to his family, his people & the country. Condolences to his family, comrades and people and government of #Eritrea.
