What a circus. I regret watching the U.S. President’s address to Congress.

But three lessons remain.

First, the only thing you need to be President of the United States is the ability to lie — and you don’t even need to be good at it. The bigger the lie, the louder the applause.

Second, to control the masses, you create an enemy. Every bad thing that happens in America is blamed on Biden, Democrats, illegal immigrants, or other countries. Every time Trump blamed someone, MAGA loyalists applauded wildly, jumping from their seats like madmen to deliver standing ovations. Such an intense display of loyalty is something we usually associate with North Korea.

Third, people have little problem compromising their morals and values as long as you throw them a bone. It has always been a mystery to me why the majority of Christians supported Hitler and helped him become a dictator. It is not a mystery anymore.
