I’d like to reiterate how difficult it is to have granola infected with salmonella. It’s even more difficult than chili peppers, and no, it’s not “foreign producers” that are the problem. It’s quality control and standards not being enforced.
Do not fall for this garbage
Anyone who supports this is either bought, buying, or too ignorant to realize they should be either
This was never about protecting kids, all that takes is their parents actually parenting them. That hasn't changed.
This is about eroding the last true bastion of your first amendment rights and turning your data into a mass traded commodity (yes, even more than it already is)
Free speech?
Not when everything you do, say, share, like, or watch is being scrutinized by a unified mass data surveillance system
You say something online the current regime doesn't like? Did you say something FIFTEEN YEARS AGO that the current regime doesn't like?
Well I certainly hope you didn't need bank access, the ability to travel freely, or your job. Because those are gone now
And companies will pay for any "genuine user data" they can get, so that they can more finely tailor their ads and marketing to hook users. This is because online bots (THEIR ONLINE BOTS THAT THEY PUT OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE) have poisoned that system. It's not enough to see a name and an email. Now they need to know if you're a human or one of their bots used to sway opinion. Congrats, who you are is now a commodity
And like any commodity, it will be stolen off the shelves
Ask yourself: every data breach had had unredacted drivers licenses, updated photos, and SSNs tied to them, how much worse would they have been?
How many data breaches have you heard about from MAJOR companies in the last five years alone?
Those were only the big companies. For every one you heard about, there were hundreds that you didn't
And that was only when passwords, usernames, emails, MAYBE some payment history and messages could be stolen
Do you think these data thefts are going to become more or less common when a massive amount of ready made stolen identity kits are the prize for pulling off a major data breach?
If this goes into effect, then buckle up: it's gonna get a whole lot worse.
I’ve honestly been enjoying using Linux ever since I switched from Windows. I run a dual-boot set up at the moment in case I absolutely need to use Windows for something but mainly have been using Linux. Still working out the kinks on playing games but overall I love it. 😊
The life of Gen Z:
- College degree is worthless
- Rent is half your paycheck
- AI is replacing your job
- Houses cost 20x your salary
- WW3 started and you might get drafted
- Boomers asking why you're stressed
@DiscussingFilm How about neither company acquires WB and they stay their own company so we don’t have another media company get closer to monopolizing the industry?
