So also klingt der neue Vibe Shift."

Thatâs how much less the average Port Coquitlam homeowner pays in municipal taxes and utilities compared to the Metro Vancouver average.
When I was first elected Mayor, PoCo was around the regional average.
Today? Weâre the lowest.
And we didnât get there by cutting core services or dinging people with new and inflated fees.
We built new recreation facilities. Improved our parks and roads. Added curbside glass and large-item pickup. Invested in public safety.
We also might be the last place in the Lower Mainland without paid parking.
To get there we completed core service reviews, department efficiency assessments, reduced consultant use to the bare minimum, eliminated studies/reports that go nowhere, reallocated existing resources to ensure todayâs dollars arenât spent on last decadeâs priorities, and literally went through the budget line-by-line.
Most importantly, we donât stop doing this work. Itâs not one and done. Itâs ongoing.
Iâm proud of what weâve built in Port Coquitlam and even more excited about where weâre headed.
By staying focused on the basics and challenging ourselves to always do better, we can continue delivering the high-quality services residents expect with the fiscal responsibility they deserve.
@preta_6 My son is 9 and is an amazing eater. This is because from day 1 (when he started eating solids, of course) he ate what we ate. We never made special or separate meals for him.
Youâre the parent, make the meal and put it in front of him. He wonât starve himself indefinitely

The researchers were stunned by what they found.
Here's what avoiding the sun actually does to your lifespan:
đš Peer-reviewed article about peer reviewers shows medical journals are bought and paid for by Big Pharma.
In a new article published in JAMA, researchers found that half of the peer reviewers in medical journals received nearly a billion dollars in payments from industry.
To be clear, JAMA is arguably the top peer-reviewed publication in the United States, and peer reviewers are the academic journal equivalent of fact-checkers. This means the science courts and our government rely on to decide cases and make public policy is about as reliable as the Washington Post.
Now you know why there is so much âpeer-reviewed scienceâ claiming vaccines are safe and effective, glyphosate is not killing everyone, and mRNA is anything but deadly. @VigilantFox@RealAlexJones

Thousands of farmers from across the European Union, 10,000 protesters and up to 1,000 tractors converged on Brussels to oppose the proposed EU-Mercosur free-trade deal
This new deal will wipe out farmers and allow for drastically cheaper imports with lower standards
This report by @scoopercooper should end the fiction that British Columbiaâs drug crisis is some tragic but contained public-health experiment. It isnât. What Sam Cooper lays out is an international trafficking pipeline running straight through Vancouverâs port, exploiting Canadaâs weak enforcement, political denial, and willful blindness at the highest levels of government.
For years, British Columbians have been told that fentanyl is a downstream problem, something that just âarrivesâ here, something we manage, something we mitigate. This reporting demolishes that lie. According to U.S. investigators, Vancouver is not just a consumer hub, it is a logistics hub. A transshipment hub. A laundering point for global narcotics flows, where fentanyl pills and chemical precursors move from China and Mexico through Canada to the United States and the Asia-Pacific.
And what makes this especially damning is not just the scale, but the cover. Containers routed through Vancouver are allegedly being used to disguise Mexican fentanyl as Canadian exports to evade U.S. customs scrutiny. That only works because Canada is trusted. And that trust is now being abused.
This is what happens when ideology replaces enforcement. When âharm reductionâ becomes a political shield. When governments are more afraid of admitting failure than stopping criminals. And when international partners start to notice the gap between what Canada says publicly and what intelligence services see privately.
British Columbians are paying the price for this denial, in overdoses, in organized crime, in community breakdown, and now in Canadaâs credibility with its closest allies.
This is no longer just about addiction policy. It is about border security. National security. Port security. And whether Canada is prepared to be honest about the role its own infrastructure is playing in one of the deadliest drug epidemics in modern history.
You cannot fix what you refuse to acknowledge. And right now, acknowledgment by Ottawa, David Eby and the NDP, is exactly what is missing

Budget 2025 quietly rewrites what âinfrastructureâ means in Canada.
It expands the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and other federal initiatives, beyond physical projects into:
* AI compute systems
* A Sovereign Canadian Cloud
* Government-wide digital decision tools
* National analytics platforms (TechStat)
* AI-enabled compliance systems
All without Parliamentary debate.
Infrastructure now includes the digital systems that govern your daily life.
This kind of transformation deserves transparency, not just a quiet line on page 92 of the Budget.
