So this morning my niece got mugged, hit and almost rapped on her way to school by two boys. We then went to the police station to report the case so one of the guys asked us to sit down and we will be assisted.

This lady (on the picture) then comes and yells, why are we sitting where we are seated? We tried to explain but her attitude was already on steroids.

We proceed to explain why we were there and she said she will not open a case with out the suspects names, surname or ID number.

We asked for her name and she said “Andazi” (I do not know)

So when I am being mugged I should ask them thieves for the details?

Department of Correctional Services employees who went to court after the department discriminated against them because they are Coloured.

In 2012, the department refused to promote them despite the fact that they were the best candidates for the job.

They took the department to court and 4 years later, the constitutional court ruled that the department’s decision not to appoint or promote them constituted unfair discrimination and unfair labour practices.

This will have a significant positive impact on all non-black people in South Africa.

It has been a long road for them, but they fought against discrimination and they won.
