i get so sad going back to my empty place after a night with my friends, i'm very certain we're meant to fall asleep in a pile together like a litter of puppies
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
Mark Ruffalo, "This pin is for Renee Nicole Good who was murdered"
"We have a vice president JD Vance lying about what's happening"
"We have a war with Venezuela which we illegally invaded"
"President Trump says international law doesn't matter to him"
"He says only his own morality matters to him, but the guy is a convicted felon, a pedophile, the worst human being.. If we're relying on this guys morality, for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble"
"This is for Renee Good.. It's for the people in the US who are terrorised and scared today"
"I love this country, what I see here happening, it's not America"
"I want to be here to celebrate, I am here to celebrate and I'm proud to have a Golden Globes nomination"
"But also, this is not normal any more"
What we are witnessing is an outright abuse of power.
This administration is attacking critics and using fear as a weapon to silence anyone who would speak out. Media corporations — from television networks to newspapers — are capitulating to these threats.
We cannot dare to be silent or complacent in the face of this frontal assault on free speech.
We, the People, deserve better.
Texans are protesting peacefully, and Greg Abbott has the National Guard on standby.
Because nothing scares him more than the people standing up and speaking out.
Let me remind y’all: the right to peaceful protest is in the Constitution.
This isn’t about peace. It’s about control.
And that’s exactly why folks are in the streets to begin with.
