@Warbandit07 @brittney_reacts Also, he’s repeatedly described as “like a god” in The Odyssey. Circe’s and Calypso’s desire for him reinforces this. Calypso even offers him immortality. I think we’re meant to see not that he’s “unfaithful” but that he stands out above other mortals. And his focus is home.

@michael_r1995 @TheGreatB00ks @MarcusSol4 Except Homer doesn’t seem to know this story. The Odyssey shows Clytemnestra as a contrast to Penelope; she grasps power and kills her husband. The murder of her child is not a motivation in Homer’s account of her. (Iphigenia is also referenced in The Iliad as being alive.)

@kroger One of my biggest frustrations with Kroger Boost delivery is that I used to be able to get @Boars_Head lunch meats in my delivery orders, but for the past few months I am no longer able to do that. Did you all stop stocking Boars Head meats in your distribution centers?

@RealMissAI @CaliJ98 Most of us spend the day after Christmas relaxing. I don’t know anyone rushing back to work tomorrow unless they’re in essential services. We just don’t call it “Boxing Day” because we don’t have quite the same class structure that gave rise to Boxing Day.

@CaliJ98 Okay, well, we don’t have a national tradition of great manor houses whose servants needed the day after Christmas off. 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ But few people are rushing back to work. Most of us spend the day after Christmas relaxing with family and enjoying our gifts.

@dominosugar I don’t know what’s going on with your new resealable bags, but as I am pulling out my light and dark brown sugar that have been in these Domino resealable bags, the sugar is far more dried out than it has ever been in the previous packaging. It’s really frustrating.
