My 8 year old daughter is already learning to be a fierce advocate for others and wanted her voice to be heard regarding the distasteful skit SNL did last weekend about those living with the effects of FASD. Such a proud Mama. Do better @nbcsnl
@nbcsnl It’s a sad day when your writers have to stoop to making fun of individuals with a disability. I’m raising a child whose mother drank during pregnancy. Come spend a day at my house and you will see making fun of FASD isn’t comedy fodder. Know better DO BETTER.
@nbcsnl SNL I am so disappointed in you with this. People living with Fetal Alcohol Exposure are amazing caring kind individuals who have lifelong effects from being exposed to alcohol. What on earth would ever cause you to think this was funny. Educate yourself and do better
@nbcsnl If you knew how much of a struggle it is to be an individual living with FASD, or a parent caring for a child with FASD, you would not be making this skit. Humour at the expense of individuals with disabilities is not acceptable, it is ableism and contributes to stigma
Are you an adult with #FASD who does NOT use or has NEVER used cannabis?
Dr. Mela needs you to complete an online survey to help us better understand how cannabis impacts you.
