Just finished my very first mural in emporia. Like JUST finished it. Like 2.5 hours of sleep last night cause we didn't wanna stop working, just finished.
I'm so emotional, filled with immense gratitude, joy and exhaustion.
On to the next!
When I decided I didn't want to date guys with no job, no car and no future plans anymore, I found the love of my life. Quickly. He has constantly driven me to want to improve myself and he has been the source of so much improvement to my life on the whole. I am so lucky.
I low-key bit off all my acrylic nails today because one fell off, and even though my husband was 10,000% horrified, I feel exactly 10,001% better without them at this moment.
With one missing, what is the point of the set?
I went to a Christmas book exchange and made a huge list of all the books that sounded interesting and added them to my list in the Libby app.
Oh and I got two books by Anthony Bourdain. Major win.
I'm seriously so aware of how lucky I am to have my partner. He is everything I am not, and a compliment to everything I am. He is my rock, and I rely on him to a fault. Insanely grateful and totally obsessed with his kindness and generosity in each and every way.
Painting not one, but two "starry night" for a client. Likely one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, why did I agree to this, I regret my life choices. Anyone have a ear chopping knife and a woman who doesn't want it that I can send it to?
We drove the RV today and apparently my closet was a bit messy, because the entire thing, bar and all, fell out of its space.
So I guess I'm cleaning my closet today.
But I also don't want to use movie stills, don't know how to properly take photos to use as reference that would reflect my vision, and no experience putting a story together in 10 pieces.
No time like the present to figure it all out though! I did say I wanted be challenged 😅
Wanting to paint a series this winter that feel cinematic. Good lighting, colors and emotion, telling a story of tension and triumph from beginning to end. A real challenge. I want to push myself to do something really complicated.
Seriously so many things happening all at once. I feel like I've barely been home for the last six months.
I crave a slow, solitary winter to create and recharge.
In a jazz bar in KC and just watching people interact with one another makes me giggle.
Go enjoy some humans. They're hilarious, adorable, wonderful annoying, desperate, imperfect... and entirely enchanting. When viewed at a distance.
