This is Brandon Doxtator of Oneida Nation of the Thames explaining why a water shortage has put his community in a state of emergency. They’ve had a boil water advisory in place since 2019. Now levels in the water tower are at an “all time low.” #ldnont
I’m sorry but when the Premier of Ontario and most of his MPPs refused to wear a mask right after his Chief Medical Officer of Health strongly recommended wearing a mask…what are the chances that the people of Ontario will actually wear a mask?
It’s not just about “keeping kids in classrooms”. It should be about the teachers and educational support workers that make those rooms special. A classroom is a room. But great teachers, those people change lives. If you care about kids, support and pay teachers fairly. ️
So, if Lecce just gave about $200 million to parents that is
$3.25 raise for 61 500 000 hours.
7 hr day = 8 800 000 days of work
With 200 days in #onted that's enough hrs for 44 000 support workers for a full year.
Do the math... There is money

As you hear about CUPE strike action, never forget that @Sflecce took $465 million out of the education budget to pay parents, when $235 million would have avoided a strike.

Just to be clear, if we can afford to spend $290,000,000 to host five 2026 World Cup soccer games in Toronto, we can also afford to provide safe, affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness in Toronto...It's really a question of our priorities!
REMINDER: After people died of thirst in for-profit LTC...no one went to jail. Instead, the Ontario Conservatives rewarded them with even more bed licenses, to increase their market share.
Please...keep this in mind while voting in the upcoming election. #onpoli#LeadersDebate
