What's everyone's thoughts on the following phrase?
"Bear in mind that the fact that no one has ever written a book on a topic before is usually an indicator that it’s a bad idea rather than being evidence of a gap in the market".
This is an excerpt from a prominent literary agency's submission guidelines for non-fiction.

📢All this week we’re announcing the writers who have been part of our Voices development programme for 2026 and today it’s the turn of the 10 writers from our London hub! 📢
“While Voices marks an important milestone, it also feels like the beginning of something. We are incredibly excited about what lies ahead for these writers and proud to have played a small part in their development. We can’t wait to see the stories they go on to tell, the audiences they connect with and the impact they’ll have on the future of British television. For now, we’re thrilled to celebrate their achievements and introduce them to you. We hope you’ll enjoy discovering their work as much as we’ve enjoyed working with them.”

Saw someone hating on first person POV again.
Hmm, tbh, I love first person (both reading & writing in it)🤷♀️. I feel like most people I know enjoy it too🤔👀. First person & third person limited are my favorites because of the closeness both provide. Thoughts??
I recently got this email from a writer, and it broke my heart.
Their fears are things I hear from aspiring authors nearly every day:
☹️ AI is taking over
☹️ Publishers only want writers who are influencers
☹️ Literary fiction is dead
...so is it even worth writing a book in 2026?
In this week's video, I dig into whether these fears are warranted and what the data actually shows.

James Van Der Beek’s final message to the world is one of the most powerful things I have ever heard. Stop whatever you are doing and listen to this! 🥺

Say hello to the characters (thread) of my queer dramedy script "Secret Sex". All images are created with AI (Grok).
"In the Trump dominated world and the post-Brexit London of today, "Sex and the City" and "Queer as Folk" go hand-in-hand with "Dexter Morgan" and "Walter White". What hides behind the pink and glitter of the queer life? And can hate become revenge and bite you in the nuts"?
#1 Kieran Hendricks (protagonist).
A closeted cis-male gay man, short and skinny. A corporate shark, ambitious and materialistic, clinging to power and wealth, but seeing a bit deeper into society than the rest. Secretly suffers from depression.
#7 Ellery Newman
Thomas's lesbian wife, Ellery hates everything societal about being a woman. Yet she retains a façade; a persona and stays in the closet, playing happy housewife, and enjoying the perks of the fake marriage.
