People saying “web3 games need to sell skins to be successful” is so WRONG.
I'm getting really tired of people speaking to the lowest level of how blockchain benefits gamers.
Users are willing to pay because skins in CounterStrike or League of Legends because they have longevity in a game people actually want to play.
The formula isn’t “Make Game + Sell Skins = Be successful”
This won’t work for web3 games
It’s build IP, create engaging game experience, let players drive value to their NFT through upgrade and customization unlocked via gameplay.
Ownership should be more than “if I get banned at least I still own my NFTs!”. True ownership means letting players do what they want with the assets they own (customization and upgrades).
Web2 blueprints won’t work for Web3. Be better
