#COTD Ms. Oliver didn't meet our intake criteria, but when her mom, a longtime supporter, was hospitalized, we couldn't turn away. This senior girl lost her whole world. Now she's safe with us. Her mom gave so much; we had to be there for her baby.

🆘🆘THE 17 (😱😱😱)- POOR CATS BELOW ARE ALL AT RISK OF EU ON 10/10/26😱😱😱🆘 🆘
😟😿😿MOST URGENT ON LIST ARE:
1. LEO- (12X ON EPL)- TOO LOW ON PLEDGES) - RETURNED TO EPL ON 10/426 - LIVING ON BORROWED TIME - BEING IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED ON X AND AT SHELTER-
2. BILLY JR - (7X ON EPL - TOO LOW ON PLEDGES) - BEING IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED ON X AND AT SHELTER- 😱
3. DUSK - (7X ON EPL - TOO LOW ON PLEDGES) - BEING IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED ON X AND AT SHELTER- 😱
4. BABY - (7X ON EPL - TOO LOW ON PLEDGES) - BEING IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED ON X AND AT SHELTER- 😱
5. LUCEE - (6X ON EPL - TOO LOW ON PLEDGES) - BEING IGNORED AND OVERLOOKED ON X AND AT SHELTER- 😱
🆘🆘🆘😱😱😱😱 MEDICAL KITTIES - THE MEDICAL KITTIES ARE WAAAAYYY BEHIND ON PLEDGES - PLEASE CONSIDER THEM:🆘🆘
1. BAMBI (2X ON EPL)- He is a sweet but nervous cat who is not eating consistently in shelter. We suspect this is due to severe periodontal disease and stress. He needs a dentistry with extractions and a low stress environment to recover. NOT EATING/APPETITE ISSUES ARE A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER.
2. NOELLE - Noelle is a friendly cat who was surrendered. We have assessed that Noelle has neurologic deficits and started her on empirical treatment for toxoplasma. Noelle will need further follow up with a neurologist and need medical care that we can not provide here. She has a been very friendly when handled, but has very jerky head movements which can make handling difficult.
3. SPOCK - Spock is a senior cat with comorbidities including dental disease, URI, and suspected diabetes. Additional diagnostics are being performed to confirm a diabetes diagnosis, and Spock will require follow up with a veterinarian. Behaviorally, he allows handling.
4. FUDGE -Fudge is a friendly kitten who came in as a stray. We have assessed that Fudge is missing part of his left hind leg and there is a wound present there that appears chronic. Fudge will need close monitoring of this wound to ensure it is healing appropriate and will require further follow up with outside vet care. If the wound does not heal and/or if Fudge is having trouble getting around, he may need the remainder of his limb amputated. Fudge has allowed all handling and seeks attention during their exams.
5. SABRINA - Sabrina has been diagnosed with kidney failure and severe anemia; an acute kidney injury (ie. toxin, kidney infection, other) is suspected. Her bloodwork shows severe elevations in her kidney values as well as a severe anemia; however, Sabrina has clinically improved with supportive care and is eating small amounts and is overall brighter than she was at intake. She will need continued hospitalization with placement and her long-term prognosis is guarded at this time pending continued response to treatment. Behaviorally, Sabrina is fearful, but is warming up. Today she began leaning into petting and purring after warming.
6. YANG - Yang is a kitten with chronic conjunctivitis who has now developed a corneal ulceration. She needs continued treatment with frequent medication administration, which we are unable to provide in shelter. If her ocular disease persists or if the damage to her eyes is severe, then she may need enucleation(s). Behaviorally, Yang is sweet and allows all handling.
7. JACK - Jack is a 5 month old kitten with a history of urinary issues. Upon presentation to the shelter, he had a significantly abnormal bladder and hematuria. His hematuria has resolved, but his urinary tract remains abnormal with apparent masses within the urinary bladder. Jack's diagnosis is unknown and his long-term prognosis is guarded. Clinically, he is eating well and now urinating in the litterbox. He will need advanced imaging and additional diagnostics with placement. Behaviorally, he is sweet and allows all handling.
🆘🆘TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR THE OVERLOOKED AND IGNORED AS SHELTER IS AT MAX CAPACITY🆘🆘

🆘🆘 FUDGE (ID 267026), 7 WEEK OLD, MALE– IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - impound on 10/1/2026. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿
➡️TBD 10/10/26
➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY
➡️ ONLY A BABY – JUST BEGINNING LIFE
➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE –IN FELINE ICU😱😱😱
➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱
➡️ 8 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT
➡️ FUDGE IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS -Fudge is a friendly kitten who came in as a stray. This evaluation/diagnosis means that FUDGE will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥
NYCACC NOTE: Under his box, Fudge boy is laying with his body/face neutral; when i entered he looked up with neutral eyes and leaned forward slightly to sniff the tool that i held out. He started to sniff around when i offered treats and i was able to slowly coax him out a bit as he followed the treat forward. He quickly started to enjoy and allowed me to pet all over his head, cheeks as well as down his back/body with no reaction. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻
NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP –
Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one.
