Exactly one week later on June 14th, I competed in the 70.3 Ironman Cairns. Swam in the ocean with crocodiles and sharks as a rainbow broke through at sunrise, battled strong winds along Captain Cook’s Highway, and ran through tropical rain. What an unforgettable experience.
Flew out of California Tuesday night, blinked and landed in Sydney Thursday morning. Spent two magical days in that beautiful city. Up to Brisbane on June 7th. Chilly perfect morning. New PR in the marathon: 3:15, 167th out of 2500. What an unforgettable experience. Grateful!
