Groundwork NPC Member Eleanor B. asks DSA members to show up on Sunday and demand the NPC listens to convention and gives YOU a vote on our 2028 Endorsement Process! Every member deserves a say in who DSA endorses for president!
Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya refused to abandon his patients in Gaza. He buried his own son in the hospital courtyard after he was killed by an Israeli drone that struck the entrance of Kamal Adwan Hospital. He kept the hospital running through Israel’s brutal 85-day siege, and didn’t stop fighting for his patients even when the Israeli military raided the hospital and kidnapped dozens of hospital workers. For that, the Israeli military kidnapped him a year and a half ago, and now he's been beaten, starved, thrown in solitary, and is in critical condition — all for trying to save Palestinian lives.
In his last meeting with his lawyer, Dr. Abu Safiya said “They brought me here to kill me.” Dr. Abu Safiya must be released immediately, along with the thousands of Palestinians the Israeli government is holding without charge or trial, who are now at risk after the Knesset passed a law that allows the death penalty for Palestinians.
Kidnapping one of Gaza's few remaining doctors while bombing its hospitals and killing over 1700 health care workers is yet another facet of Israel’s genocide — and it is being carried out with American weapons, paid for with our tax dollars. Palestinians have survived three years plus a century of ethnic cleansing, genocide and aparthied. Enough is enough.
In Congress, I will fight tooth and nail to cut off the endless flow of weapons and American taxpayer dollars to Israel as it violates countless international laws and indiscriminately bombs civilians across multiple countries at once.
⚠️The Egyptian Relief Committee in Gaza had been organizing public screenings of World Cup matches for displaced families across the Strip. About an hour before today’s Egypt-Argentina match, Israel killed the committee’s public relations director in a strike on his vehicle. Two others, including a child, were also killed.
On July 4, 2026, Democratic Socialists of America passed 120,000 members, making us the largest socialist organization in United States history and surpassing the Socialist Party of America under Eugene Debs, which reached its peak dues-paying membership in 1912.

"How small they are, how weak, how unoriginal. At every moment in our past, those who led through exclusion and isolation have tried to win power and enrich themselves by turning us against one another."
"Division is the oldest trick in politics, and the cheapest. But time and again-including 250 years ago-those forces of division have been vanquished by the forces of progress."
There is nothing “common sense” about continuing to place profits over working class Americans. More and more people are starting to understand they deserve good and dignified lives, union jobs, to be able to afford rent, childcare and more. That’s incompatible with your continued servitude of the Billionaire class.
This is getting a lot more attention now that the primaries are over. As of now, the system advantages people who rank the indys first: second place votes from people who rank the Dem first only come into play during RCV. The council is mulling changes but may run outta time.
There has been a lot written about DSAs supposed white downwardly mobile base. I encourage our electoral opponents to continue misunderstanding our coalition. It will be too late by the time they stop coping and figure it out

NYC-DSA is building the left’s first municipal political machine. Not only should every NYC leftist be paying monthly dues to fund this, but everyone should convince 3 of their politically lite friends to do so as well.
as an immigrant it's crazy to see an immigrant become a mayor and a socialist icon. as a service industry worker is crazy to see a fast food worker become a brilliant organizer and a Congresswoman who has the best policy plan to tackle the crises that we are facing
as an encampment protester and a DSA field lead it is crazy to see an encampment protester and a DSA field lead just pull off the biggest upset and become a Congresswoman who will be the moral figure on the national level and will expand the horizon of what we can demand
