📣 @HEBobiwine will address #GenevaSummit2026 on February 18 by video.
A Ugandan musician-turned-opposition leader, Bobi has faced detentions and raids for his presidential campaigns.
Now in hiding from Museveni’s regime, we wish Bobi a happy and safe birthday today.
Thankful to the @Europarl_EN for speaking about the political crisis in Uganda and calling for accountability for the rights abuses by the repressive regime of Uganda.

UGANDA |🇺🇬🇪🇺The European Parliament has called Uganda’s election what it was: a military operation to crush the only credible opposition. Security forces were used not to protect voters, but to intimidate, kill, detain, torture, and silence political opponents.
Statements are no longer enough. The EU, its Member States, and allied democracies must move to consequences — identifying and acting against those responsible, from commanders to political enablers.
Targeted sanctions, visa bans, asset freezes, suspension of security cooperation, and a review of aid that sustains repression must follow.
By this point, the U.S, the UK, and the EU must understand that repeated failure to act is steering the region toward deeper instability, normalized violence, and the erosion of democratic and regional security norms — with consequences far beyond Uganda.

Whenever I pass by Nakivubo, I am reminded of Ham’s words, “Buno bu billion 120, sibwe ninamu interest…” and I stop and ask myself: where did we go wrong as a people? 🤔 You look at what has been done to that place, and you cannot help but shake your head. Then you add to it the reality that Kampala now has a mayor-elect of Indian descent, and at the same time Minsa Kabanda as the MP elect, and you begin to see a bigger picture forming. These are not small matters. Leadership is about history, identity, and responsibility to the masses. If we are not careful, if we do not think deeply as a country, we may wake up one day and realise that we ignored the warning signs. Indeed, these are worrying times ahead for the country.
Some people will endure broken roads, empty hospitals ( no drugs ), and a collapsing economy.
But the moment leadership shifts to someone outside their circle, that’s where they draw the line.
So it was never about the country it was about protecting access, privilege, and familiarity with power.

Sky’s @YousraElbagir is in Kampala as the Ugandan army is seen arresting supporters of the opposition leader during the country's election.
The military is fully deployed to the streets of Kampala and there is a total internet blackout as voters decide who they want in power.
Watch to the end;
More evidence keeps unfolding.
I posted a screen recorded video earlier regarding Someone in @UgandaEC screen recorded the real results contrary to what Byabakama was reading to the public. The two results for HE. @HEBobiwine & Museveni were switched over 🇺🇬👇🏾
Video message from President @HEBobiwine recorded from a safe place, to the people of Uganda and the world about the goings on in our country!

Disregard the nonsense that the EC has announced. We all know that HE Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu is the rightfully elected President of the Republic of Uganda. Anyone who says anything otherwise is a F00L and an ACCOMPLICE

Ugandans are losing internet access in the next hour. Please share this with them.
Tanzania shut down the internet but we still reported what happened. We’ll be watching Uganda closely
