🎉#ICASA2023 RECAP! The first-ever People Living with HIV Stigma Index Global Report is available!

Launched at @icasa2023, the #PLHIV Stigma Index is a standardised tool to gather evidence on how stigma and discrimination impacts the lives of people living with HIV and is centred around the GIPA principle, the Greater Involvement of People Living with HIV/AIDS.

The Global Report is based on data from 25 countries, who have conducted the PLHIV Stigma Index between 2020 and 2023.

The data gathered through the PLHIV Stigma Index enables a clear picture of stigma and discrimination to emerge. It also provides evidence for advocacy to shape policy and programmatic change and end HIV-related stigma and discrimination.

📢OPPORTUNITY! GNP+ is recruiting a research consultant to lead the development of a qualitative study on barriers for preventing #HIV vertical transmission during 2024. The report will cover 5 countries in Africa; Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt and Morocco.

The aim of this post is to facilitate the production of high quality evidence through a community-led operational research based on an in-depth literature review and consultation with pregnant and post partum women living with HIV and from key-populations.
